Scorpion Impact Absorber 110K
The Scorpion Crash Absorbers with unique design
The Scorpion Crash Absorber consists of a galvanized steel tilting frame to which the bent tubes are connected to each other. The curved tubes are made of corrosion-resistant aluminum, which offers protection against collisions along the entire length of the impact cushion. The curved aluminum tubes are designed to direct errant vehicles away from the truck to which the crash absorber is mounted (redirective). Other Crash Absorbers do not have side impact protection.
The aluminum boxes are filled with a moisture-resistant aluminum honeycomb material. The boxes, together with the bent aluminum tubes, absorb the kinetic energy of a colliding vehicle. The aluminum boxes are preserved with a bright yellow powder coating for long-lasting protection.
The Scorpion Truck Mounted Attenuator has been tested and meets all optional and mandatory requirements suggested in the NCHRP-350 report for TL-3 and the updated MASH (Manual for Assessing Safety Hardware). In addition, the Scorpion TMA has the UKTD49 test of 110 km/h. to endure. The Scorpion TMA has successfully passed a severe side impact test - this goes beyond all test requirements of Rijkswaterstaat and CROW. The scorpion crash absorber is the best tested crash absorber on the market and offers the best protection for drivers of the trucks to which they are mounted.
Modular design
We have built this impact absorber completely modular, so that damaged parts can be replaced quickly and easily in the event of an unexpected collision. The scorpion crash cushion with its unique design is also completely modular. In the event of a minor collision with the crash cushion, parts can often be replaced, which reduces the costs of damage repair. All parts are in stock and available separately. Minor damage can also be replaced by the customer himself. A ring or spanner is often sufficient to replace parts.
