Shipping Sign BPR E.5.4
Berths for non-cone pushing vessels
Berths for mooring or anchoring pushed vessels, which are not required by the nature of the cargo to carry one or more blue cones.
Use of cone areas (signs E.5.5 to E.5.15) The design and designation of berths for ships transporting certain dangerous goods are generally based on so-called single cone vessels, because single cone vessels are the most common. Moreover, there is often no space to set up a separate berth for each category. For example, the lock master at waiting places at locks may grant ships with more than one cone temporary mooring at a berth for single cone vessels. It can then be indicated by means of a plate that with the permission of the lock master, ships that have more than one cone may also be moored.
Our official shipping signs are produced from durable aluminum and provided with a double folded edge to reinforce the shipping sign. The double folded edge is also used for mounting the shipping sign to poles or light poles. For good night visibility, we provide the shipping signs with retro-reflective film class II or III. Our shipping signs are provided with CE marking
